Yes Lab at Hemi

The Yes Lab has a full-time base at the Hemispheric Institute in New York, with several ongoing projects and activities involving students and activists. We will be updating Hemi's page with on upcoming Yes Lab meetings and events.

Yes Lab Fridays

The Hemi Yes Lab involves students, faculty, community members, local activists, and the occasional government official in strategizing and accomplishing funny media-getting actions. This fall 2012, we'll start with a full-day introductory workshop on Saturday Oct. 13, during which you'll work with local activist organizations, and the Yes Men, to figure out just the right project for you. You'll then meet every Friday throughout the semester to get feedback on where you and your group have gotten.

If you'd like to participate in the fall 2012 Yes Lab @ Hemi, please check out this page and make sure to RSVP. If you know of an organization with a presence in New York that has the time and energy to devote to crafting and guiding a project with the Yes Lab, around their own campaign goal, please direct them to this page.

Creative Activism Thursdays
The Revolution Will Be Debated

Come meet the revolutionaries who have changed or are currently changing the world, and those who study them. We’ll be meeting some Thursdays for lectures, workshops, and other events focused on the potential for societal change, and what we can do to bring it about through creative tactics and strategies. Please visit the Hemispheric Institute website for details.

Note: NYU undergrads can take "Foundations of Activism" in the spring of 2013; send email to nyu@yeslab.org and we'll keep you on the list for further details.
